Counselling

I trained as an integrative counsellor and I believe that no one therapeutic approach suits all clients in every situation.  We are all unique and so the therapy I offer is individual to you and your situation. I draw from a range of approaches from two main schools of thought; the humanistic model, which helps you to access your inner resources, and the psychodynamic, which helps you to explore how your past is affecting your present.

And underpinning my work is the relationship between the two of us. Sometimes, therapy can feel uncomfortable and if you feel safe and connected you will find it easier to open up and be authentically you.

My approach is calm, compassionate and warm. You are in the driving seat; you choose what you’d like to talk about, the pace of our work together and how many sessions you’d like to have.

Working with me could help you to feel more positive about your life and more hopeful about your future.

I work with clients dealing with a range of issues including, but not limited to, anxiety and depression, stress and burn-out, loss and grief, trauma, relationship difficulties, low confidence and self-esteem issues, self-harm and identity issues.
